MY INTERNSHIP AT COMMIT GLOBAL

Elisavet Ventouri Internship
Listen to Post

Hello, I am Elisavet Ventouri and I feel very lucky that I had the chance to be a part of the Commit Global team for three and a half months. My internship as a translator at Commit Global was my first step in the translation industry and taking it in such a professional, yet friendly, environment gave me the confidence to take many more steps in this field.

Even though, at first, I was quite nervous, everyone made me feel welcome and were very supportive from day one. All of my questions, my comments, as well as my opinion were welcomed by the team and constructively commented on. Even when remote working came into our lives and the whole team had to adapt to this new reality, our cooperation remained great and I completed my internship, after making the necessary adjustments.

During my internship, I had the chance to participate in real-time projects, attend meetings and get to know every step of a translation project, from the moment a client sends the work to the moment they get it back. I was constantly getting feedback, which helped me improve my already acquired skills and also acquire new ones.

It is not only the work part though. I also participated in plenty of seminars and trainings, both one-to-one, as part of my training, and with the rest of the team, as part of the company’s continuous learning mentality.

Finally, I want to thank every single one of the Commit team’s members for this valuable experience.
